50 Shades of Grey on a Sunday.

Hey Family long time no post.

So I've decided to post my
Sunday go to church fits. I really want to go out but it seems as if
2nd trimester has me still tired. I can walk around the block and then
sleep for 4 hours. I'm getting better. I try to walk around the
building at my new job site. I've been regulated to computer work and
very light duty. Such fun. Naw, really I am happy at where I am.
Today was my 1st day. I've decide to remain positive on my 6hr commute. Oh Boy Y'all pray for me. lol

So on this past Sunday it was really breezy and cool. I love the
season changing. Fall was really around the leaves falling and the sun
bright and the air crisp and clean. On this day I decided to wear some
new thrifted items and something old. Many people don't want to wear
repeat Items but I will wear things for years.

I really wanted
to do different shades of grey. 50 shades of grey came to mind. At
least the movie title. lol My slacks are newly thrifted still had the
tags on them from Ashley Stewart. The said 18 but they are more like a
20 plenty of room for the baby spread. My top is silk it wrinkles easy
also thrifted a Pussy bow blouse. I decided to shave my hair off to
start fresh and so a head wrap was in order. I decided to go with a
multi-color wrap blue, grey, green and white background. The jewelry was
all silver and a piece of hand jewelry in blue and grey. My wrap/shawl
is also in the grey color way and so are my shoes.

Trifted New:

Thrifted Old:

Pussy Bow Blouse Silk
All Jewlery that is silver
Head Wrap Former Maxi Dress

Artist Made:

As always thanks for Looking, Commenting or Lurking. All are welcome.

Oh darling, you forgot the pics. Sounds like a nice look.

2nd trimester is still fresh in my mind. Bless your heart! Sleep as much as possible.

  • JAileen replied 1 year ago

Even though you're tired, you look good. The top is really pretty.

I was tired in the first trimester, too, but then felt pretty good in the second one. By the third one, though, I felt kind of bulky. We used to go to the driving range, and as I got further along, my swing got better, and I could drive further. One of those unintended consequences, I guess. I don't play golf any more.

Lady, Thank you so much Pictures are posted and trying to sleep.  People keep telling me to get it now.  lol

JAileen Thank you so much I can hang tough at work but when I get home and take that shower oh boy down for the count lol.  I wonder if your drive go better because your center of gravity changed.

    Ledonna! Love seeing you :-)
The top and pants are lovely. I like the shiny stripe on the pants a lot.

Oh yeah... pregnancy is not easy. Keep resting up!

You really rock those drapey tuxedo trousers. What a great find! I like them with the silk top, too. The head wrap and jewelry give a jolt of your artistic style to the subtle glamor of the outfit. Glad to hear you are doing well and getting your much-needed sleep.

  • lady replied 1 year ago

Ooo, love the top! What a great find!
The pants may indeed last you all pregnancy long. Great find.
You always radiate such joy. I enjoy your posts. (Though I think this my first time commenting. Most of the time I'm so late to the party, I just look.) :)

  • Ledonna N. replied 1 year ago

Momo the stripe caught my eye also. I loved it.

Firecracker I am a maximal so I love piling on the jewelry. lol

Lady, Hopefully they will last a while. My fiancee will be adding pregnancy panels to them for comfort.

A 6-hr commute sounds hard, but I am glad the job at least is fairly light computer work, which is not too strenuous for the 2nd trimester. Love your cheerful stride and the creative way you turned a dress into a headwrap! You might be dressed in shades of grey but you're shining bright!

  • Diane G replied 1 year ago

Great to see you Ledonna! You look so well. I remember that tiredness you mention and you might be feeling it but you don't look it. Looking fab actually!

  • Karie replied 1 year ago

Tired or not, you look fabulous! And did you say 6 hr. commute? Holy Moley, that's long!

BTW, I wear repeat items all the time too :)

  • shedev replied 1 year ago

Love the tuxedo stripe on the pants. You look great.

  • Xtabay replied 1 year ago

You look fantastic!  I don't know, I think I'd probably sleep right through church time if I were pregnant and had a six-hour commute on top of that.  Your halo is very shiny!  :)

  • MaryA replied 1 year ago

The tuxedo pants look great! And so does the rest of you - you certainly don't look as tired as you feel.
That commute must take you from one end of Chicago to the other!

  • RobinF replied 1 year ago

Those tuxedo pants were a great find! Looking good!

  • viva replied 1 year ago

You look wonderful! I love the closeup of the shoe with the pant leg; fantastic shades of grey.

The first pic with the flying poncho brought back a childhood memory of being on a Florida beach near sunset and seeing a school of black-and-white rays swim up near the shore and then out to sea, and a few jumped up out of the water, showing us their black-and-white wings. It was almost exactly like your flying poncho!!!

Keep resting and listening to your body. :)

The tuxedo pants are cool. Nice choice of shoe to go with. Also, the shawl makes me think butterfly...and then that makes me want to say 'dance like a butterfly, sting like a bee'... but that would just be weird. Lol ;)

Love your grays and hope you catch sleep wherever you find it. And your ability to sport heels in the second trimester is beyond impressive. Well done!

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

Only you could wear all those shades of grey and look filled with light! You look great. I hope that someone has dinner ready after that commute.

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

You mix greys better than anybody I know. Fabulous outfit! I'm sorry you're feeling tired but wow you look terrific.

  • MsGreer replied 1 year ago

  • shevia replied 1 year ago

Six hour commute? Well you don't look it. Keep on striding - you look amazing and all your positivity is feeding your baby too!

  • kerlyn replied 1 year ago

You do look wonderful!  Get plenty of rest when you can.  I especially love your jewelry.  Those special little touches add so much!

  • Barbara Diane replied 1 year ago

Glad you checked in. You look wonderful. And how great it is that Tem can adjust your clothes as you grow.

  • Ledonna N. replied 1 year ago

Hey everyone technically it is 2hrs & 47 minutes each way. Lol, I'm giving additional time because of winter coming. Oh well somethings are beyond our control some times. I'm looking at asking for flex time or telecommuting from home maybe 1 or 2 days a week as my due date approaches.

Male driven fields are sometimes difficult to work in. I never knew how challenging until I became pregnant. It seems to be a slightly unequal playing filed while pregnant. I an determined to remain positive.

Barbara Diane I love that Tem can customize my pants. I've tried on pregnancy pats at the stores the plus sizesxare, all over the place.

Joy my sister has been a gift from the gods. Literally she has my back front and sides. I'm thankful for her. Shr has dinner for me after a long day. This baby will be well loved and taken care of.

Eliza heel are saved for Sunday and special occasion. My heels are usally very chunky anyway. No swollen ankles or feet just yet. I love in boots and found the most beautiful and comfortable dansko Clogs recently. The are like heaven.

Rachylou not weird at all. My sister took those pictures and she said fly free little bird. Lol I love it.

Viva what a lovely childhood memory. I can visualize it now. When my youngest neice was in the 3rd grade I was a chaperone for a zoo field trip. We got to touch the stingrays it was a great experience.

Xtabay my halo is cocked way to the side with a gangster lean lol. My faith had been my center point. It's like missing a meal while pregnant. Oh no that will not be happening. Hahaha

Kari I love repeats that is the real world. I'm going to try to get some pi of my everyday work wear. Also.

Thank you all again for taking the time to look and comment.

  • Style Fan replied 1 year ago

  • Ledonna N. replied 1 year ago

    Debbie thank you

Maneera I love them so comfy

Style Fan some clothes are like stylishly good friends. You want them around 4 ever darling.

The good news is I can rest on the 1hr intercampus shuttle.

Believe me I'm sleeping. Can you say power nap. Lol

  • Chris987 replied 1 year ago

As usual, you have put together a FAB look! I also love that you keep blowing away my overly limited mental ideas of what does or does not work on petites like us....:-)

Glad to hear you are getting a lot of sleep and feeling well.

  • Inge replied 1 year ago

You look lovely, Ledonna, and truly, I am in awe of you. Pregnant or not pregnant, that is a loooong commute:-)
